When AB de Villiers is in form, even the best of bowlers can’t contain him. The bowlers of Chennai Super Kings got to witness his lethal side today when he hit a six for a mind-numbing 111 metre over long-on as the ball went out of the stadium and into the parking lot. It was the longest six hit by any batsman in the 2018 edition of the IPL. Interestingly, it was AB de Villiers’ own countryman, Imran Tahir, who was at the receiving at of such a treatment. The former went on to hit a half-century in 23 balls and a total of 68 runs and eventually helping Royal Challengers Bangalore put on a princely score of 205 at a loss of eight wickets.
