Australia vs England , 5th Ashes Test Match preview & Prediction by Golden Jeeto
Australia has won the Ashes trophy back from England by registering a 3-0 win in the first three tests. The fourth and the fifth tests are yet to be played, but it looks like Australia is clearly the better team. The Ashes, 2017-18 series is being held in Australia and the home advantage has proven fruitful for Australia.
The pitch is known to be a good batting wicket and spinners only come into picture on the last two days of the match. There isn’t that much of bounce like the Gabba and there is no raw pace like the WACA, but there are turns that ensure that spinners have this Australian venue to look forward to.
Moeen Ali is a key player for England if they don’t want to lose the Ashes title with a little pride in hand. The Australians have Glenn Maxwell for the same task. Even if that is the case, the entire outcome of the match is going to be decided based on how well the players bat. England batsmen haven’t been able to keep their wickets. Test cricket star Alastair Cook is one of those players. He is getting out frequently and without him staying on the crease and giving the players a good start, it looks like England’s batting line-up is crumbling.
By already winning the first three matches, Australia is booming with confidence. If the 4th test results also go their way, there would be no stopping them. From the current scenario, it looks like a 5-0 victory for Australia unless Alastair Cook and other England batsmen hold their nerves and post huge totals.
