India posted a huge total and easily defended it in the first T20I AT Firoz Shah Kotla, New Delhi. This was their first win against New Zealand in a T20I. Indian openers broke the record of the highest opening partnership by Indians in T20I in this match and it was the perfect goodbye to veteran bowler, Ashish Nehra. By registering their first win, the men in blue must have mustered a lot of confidence, and they can go into the series with a positive note.
New Zealand is still the best T20I team with number one ICC Men’s T20I Team Ranking, therefore they have the calibre and strength to turn the series around. New Zealand has already won the 2nd T20I and that would definitely make the 3rd T20 match more interesting.
The 3rd T20 match is going to be played at a brand new venue i.e. Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday 7th Nov’17 at 7:00 PM (IST). The pitching conditions are unknown as it is a new venue for international matches, which was recently acquired by Kerala Cricket Association. This makes the final match in the series even more exciting.

Players to Watch and Match Prediction:
The Indian openers performed really well in the first T20I despite the first over just going for 2 runs. Even captain Virat Kohli is in great form, which makes the top order of the men in blue really explosive. The opening and death bowling duo, Bhuvneshwar and Bumrah, for India have always come through as well.
For the Black Caps, Martin Guptill needs to play a good knock, but he has been getting easily dismissed in the past matches. Colin Munro and Kane Williamson have come through and Tom Latham’s excellent form is commendable as well. Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi have troubled India in the past but weren’t able to do much damage in this series. Their bowling needs to strengthen if they want to win the series or they are in big trouble.
As far as the prediction is concerned, the men in blue are the favourites for the entire series as well as the final T20I match. If everything goes their way like it did in the first T20I, the Black Caps are in big trouble. From the looks of it, India is going to make the total T20I score against the black caps as 3-5 by the end of this series.
Predicted Winner: India (IND)
