(2nd T20I Match) India vs Sri Lanka Cricket Match: Preview & Prediction by Golden Jeeto
Rohit Sharma and team bounced back as expected with the captain playing a wonderful and memorable knock of 208* in the 2nd ODI match of Sri Lanka’s Tour of India, thus winning the match and breaking a ton of records.
The 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka is going to be held on 22nd December at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. The pitch is usually batting friendly. There is even bounce and the boundaries are also really short. This is the first T20I that is being held on the ground, so we don’t know how this limited over format would go about, but the highest ODI total here was 418. So, it clearly is a batting pitch. We have already seen India’s batting might in the 2nd ODI and as most of those players will be playing in the T20I team as well, we can easily hope for a 200+ score.

Both teams seem strong on paper, but the Sri Lankan team lacks the confidence and experience that is needed to choke the opposition for good.
Players to Watch and Match Prediction
Here are the players to watch and our match prediction.
Rohit Sharma showed his true colours on his anniversary in the second ODI and the way he played those classic cricketing shots shows his class as a cricketer. The team would miss Shikhar, but replacing him is another big hitter Lokesh Rahul who has shown in his games for RCB that he doesn’t back out of a fight either. Shreyas Iyer looked a little clumsy in his first game, but showed real class in the second ODI. He has big shoes to fill but seems like he’s doing that comfortably now. As the pitch is a batting pitch, these three need to stay on crease if India wants to win the 2nd T20I.
For Sri Lanka, Suranga Lakmal and other bowlers need to find their good length. They have been lacking this, which is why they were punished in the 2nd ODI. As far as batting is concerned, Sri Lankans need to boost up their confidence. Almost all of them are capable of posting big totals, but they lack confidence as a team as well as individually. Players like Upul Tharanga and Niroshan Dickwella have some important runs to score if Sri Lanka is planning to bag a win.
India has always been the dominant side, and they are the crowd favourites. It is going to be difficult for Sri Lanka to beat the home side, but they have done it before and can do it again as well. The men in blue are still more likely to win the 2nd T20I.
Predicted Winner: Team India (IN)
