Indian Premier League, or the IPL, is undoubtedly the most admired Twenty20 Cricket League in the world. With the most preferred players from across the world taking part in this annual tournament, the world has its eyes set on IPL. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Indian summers brighten up a little more with the IPL. While the tournament has a huge fan base, what is more important to note here is that there are several players who get a wonderful opportunity to show their prowess to the world at large through this game.
As per the BCCI rules, each of the participating teams in the tournament can have a maximum of 5 foreign players and this opens up doors for many talented young players who couldn’t get the right opportunity to move up in the cricketing career. Many talented players from various countries who are yet to gain recognition have also made their mark in their respective careers through IPL.
Emerging Player of the Year
It would be no exaggeration to state that there is no dearth of cricketing talent in the world. BCCI recognizes this by awarding the Emerging Player of the Year award. The award has been given since the first season of the game back in 2008.
