|Venue||Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad|
|Series||Indian Premier League|
|Match days||31 March 2019 – day/night match (20-over match)|
SRH was formed after the Deccan Chargers were dismissed by the IPL board. Considered as a wildcard entry to the IPL series in the year 2013, they have put up a decent show by both winning the league and being titled runners-up once throughout their term. RCB, on the other hand, has reached the finals thrice, but was unable to bag the trophy on any one of those occasions.
The statistics of the direct clashes between the two teams indicate that SRH has performed consistently better than RCB (7 wins against 5), especially while playing on their home ground (5 wins against 1)
In the latest team formations, RCB retained 14 of their existing players and has added 10 new ones to their unit. SRH, on the other hand, has 17 members from last year and has added only 6 new players to their squad. Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are both very capable captains and are known to be great for their teams RCB and SRH respectively.
The first match between the two southern heavyweights will be an indicator of how well matched they are against each other. With a well balanced team already in place, SRH is likely to triumph, but RCB has infused new talent into the team. This could change the team’s fate and lead them closer to a victory. The match is going to be a winner, no matter which way it swings!
