Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad, 2nd Match: Sunday, MAR 24 2019: Match Preview & Prediction

SRH led by Kane Williamson is up against KKR led by Dinesh Karthik in this electrifying match combination. In the last season, SRH made it to the finals where they lost to the Chennai Super Kings. They knocked out KKR in order to reach the finals.

In the last season, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) proved to be the underdogs. Even though they did not win the cup, they managed to win the hearts of fans all over the country with their amazing performance. In both the previous seasons of the IPL, they failed to reach the finals and remained in the third spot. Hopefully, they should be able to break this jinx this time.

Both KKR and SRH will be playing their first match of the season at the Mecca of Indian cricket – Eden Gardens on Mar 24th. KKR is going strong with a good mixture of both experienced and young talent. There are many players in the team who are capable of winning the match single-handedly. SRH, on the other hand, has a very aggressive bowling unit, which can pose a threat to most teams.

Eden Gardens, being the home ground for KKR, gives them a slight edge. They have remained unbeaten against SRH here. While they would like to keep this record intact, SRH would be making constant efforts to break it. Out of the 15 games played between the two teams so far in all IPL seasons, KKR has won 9 while SRH has won 6 games.

Wriddhiman Saha and David Warner will open the game for SRH, while their skipper will play at number 3. Even the middle order is strong with players like Shakib Al Hasan and Manish Pandey. The bowling attack is equipped with the experienced Yusuf Pathan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

It will be an interesting match to watch with SRH seemingly having a slight edge. While the KKR have a better track record, SRHs killer bowling unit seems hard to go up against.
